Burdett Air Lines Pilot Shirt Wing 1 3/4"
This wing is too big to be a lapel pin so I am calling it a shirt wing
Notice the design is different than the jacket wing
Los Angeles, CA 1919-1927
Burdett Fuller started a flying school and passenger service that grew into an active operation known as Burdett Airport and Burdett Airline located in Los Angeles in 1919. Fuller sold his interest in Burdett Airline and Airport to Jack Frye in 1927. Frye developed Burdett Airline into mergers with Aero Corp. and Standard Airlines, later flying under Western Air Express and finally into Trans World Airline where Frye was president through the 1940s.
