Skystream Airlines Pilot Wing

Chicago Meigs, IL 1973-1980

Skystream Airlines originally started operations at Plymouth, Indiana, then moved to South Bend, Indiana and finally settled at Meigs Field in Chicago. Upon start up, they took over the routes of Hub Airlines and then bought Great Lakes Commuter in April, 1974. The airline suspended operatons from January to April in 1975. Upon restart, they took over Midwest Commuter in May, 1975. The airline suffered a crash at Meigs Field on June 9, 1979 and shortly thereafter went out of business.
